1. Our approach
We only store what the service needs unless you agree to more. On the website and in the apps you choose whether to allow analytics; rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time in Account → Privacy or with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the website. Our public pages such as listings, help and legal pages use no cookies at all.
2. Strictly necessary (always on)
- Sign-in session (Firebase Authentication): keeps you signed in.
- Preferences: language, theme, map or list view, saved search, and your cookie choice itself.
- Payments (Stripe): when you pay, Stripe may store identifiers to prevent fraud and complete secure card authentication.
- Maps (Google Maps Platform): loading the map needs Google's map service, which may store technical data to deliver the map.
- Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging): a device token, only if you allow notifications.
- Crash reports (Sentry): technical error data to fix problems; no advertising identifiers.
3. Analytics (only with your consent)
- PostHog (EU cloud): an anonymous identifier and events such as searches and bookings started, to understand which features work. No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no selling of data.
- In Germany and the EU analytics is always off until you opt in. In the UK we may in future use a legal exemption for first-party analytics that improve the service; if we do, it will be shown in the banner and you can object at any time with the same switch.
4. Advertising
We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and we honour Global Privacy Control signals.
5. Your choice
- Website: the banner on first visit, then Cookie settings in the footer or Account → Privacy.
- Apps: the prompt on first start, then Account → Privacy.
- If you are signed in, we store your choice with your account so that it applies on all your devices.
