ParkTracer

Host protection

How ParkTracer helps when something goes wrong with a booking. Please read the last section: this policy is not insurance.

Verified people

Drivers verify their identity before they book and hosts complete an advanced check before they publish a listing. We never store ID images ourselves; a regulated verification provider does the check.

Payments we hold

Drivers pay when they book. Your share is released after the booking starts, so a cancelled or disputed booking can be put right before money moves.

Overstays are charged automatically to the driver’s saved card in 15-minute steps after a 10-minute grace period.

Evidence on every booking

Arrival and departure photos, check-in and check-out times and the booking timeline are kept privately with the booking. Only the driver, the host and our team can see them.

Reporting a problem

Either side can open a dispute from the booking for up to 48 hours after it ends (for example damage, no access, an occupied space or an overstay charge).

The booking’s photos and timeline are attached automatically. You can add your own photos and notes. The other side has 72 hours to respond, and we aim to decide within 7 days.

Depending on the evidence we may refund the driver, charge the driver’s saved card for a documented and reasonable amount and pass it to you, or take no action. We tell both sides the outcome.

Fair rules for hosts

Host cancellations add a strike and a fee. After 3 strikes in 12 months your listings are paused until our team reviews them. You can see your strikes in the Host tab.

Reviews are double-blind: neither side sees the other’s review until both have written one or 14 days have passed.

Not insurance

This policy is not insurance and ParkTracer does not guarantee compensation for loss or damage. Hosts are not custodians of drivers’ vehicles. Check that your home, buildings or landlord insurance and your mortgage or lease allow you to rent out your space; drivers’ own motor insurance covers their vehicle.
